How to get more FPS in Battlefield V:
Battlefield V In-game settings optimization
How deep can you go with Battlefield V's in-game options? What are the best settings for FPS? What is each setting doing?
- Fullscreen Mode
- Fullscreen Device (Monitor)
- Fullscreen Resolution
- Brightness
- Field of View / 3P Vehicle FOV / ADS FOV
- Motion Blur
- Weapon DOF
- Chromatic Aberration
- Film Grain
- Vignette

- Custom Color Settings
FULLSCREEN MODE
Always go with Fullscreen for the best performance and least input-lag.
Fullscreen Device
Here you can choose the monitor you want the game to run on.
Fullscreen Resolution
Usually you want to play in your native monitor resolution. However, the resolution does of course have a big impact on the FPS. If you want or need more FPS in Battlefield V, lowering the resolution is one of the big factors.
The most common resolution is still 1920 x 1080 (Full HD). If that is still too high, 1600 x 900 looks still great and provides good visibility.
Using a 16:10 resolution
Using a resolution like 1680x1050 instead of 1920x1080, or 1440x900 instead of 1600x900 results in about 15% less pixel that need to get rendered. Additional performance you might need. Downside is a little bit of missing screen estate on the left and the right.
Brightness
A subject setting which also depends on your monitor settings. Usually a little higher value is like 65 to 75 is recommended.
Brightness
A subject setting which also depends on your monitor settings. Usually a little higher value is like 65 to 75 is recommended.
Field of View
The Field of View, often just short FOV, is the (horizontal) view angle in the game. The higher the value, the more you'll see around you.
FOV's performance impact
The Field of View does have an performance and visibility impact. The more you have in your view, the more things need to get rendered which costs performance. Also, if your resolution is for performance reasons low, a FOV too high will result in less visibility, especially on longer ranges. Don't go too low on the value or you'll miss half the match around you, a value too high might result in bad visibility and worse performance.
Recommended Value: 90-100
Vehicle 3P FOV
This sets the FOV in vehicle third-person. Same rules as for the general FOV value.
ADS FOV Scaling
Turning this ON will scale the FOV in ADS according to the general FOV setting.
Motion Blur
Recommended Value: 0 (OFF).
Weapon DOF
Artificial, unnecessary depth of field effect.
Recommended Value: OFF
Chromatic Aberration
Effect that resembles the "old camera look".
Recommended Value: OFF
Film Grain
Recommended Value: OFF
Battlefield V High FPS Config
Download the esports.exposed Battlefield V High FPS Config to get the last frames out of your system.
How to use the Battlefield 5 FPS Config:
- Download the High FPS Config
- Add it to your main Battlefield V Open Beta Folder
- You're done, kind of.
One command is missing. WorldRender.LightTileCombineOutdoorLightEnable. Setting it to 0 can give you an additional FPS boost, but seems to make the game crash on the Arctic Fjord (Narvik) map. It seems to work fine on Rotterdam. Feel free to enable and disable it via console depending on the map.
Also, WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapEnable seems to reset as soon as you join a map. You will probably have to set it to "0" via console by hand.
Battlefield V Launch Options
No performance improving launch options known so far.
