Best Modern Warfare (2019) Settings
Modern Warfare is back! The beta of the Modern Warfare reboot is underway, which means for us time to find the best settings for competitive players and the maximum fps boost.
Notable this year is the switch to an overhauled new engine and it will be interesting to see how it impacts the performance.
The provided minimum and recommended system requirements for Modern Warfare 2019 are unfortunately pretty vacuous again and won’t guarantee high enough FPS for a shooter like Modern Warfare.
Minimum System Requirements for MW 2019

|GPU||Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1050 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950 | DX 12|
|OS||Windows 7 64-bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-bit (1709 or later)|
|Disk space||45 GB|

CoD Modern Warfare FPS Boost + Competitive Settings
Call of Duty Modern Warfare High FPS Config
We’ll provide the first version of a high fps config for different PC ranges as soon as possible after the open beta starts.
It’s unknown though how much and if the config will be customizable under the new engine.
Modern Warfare In-Game Settings Optimization
We will provide a detailed description of all in-game settings for the new Modern Warfare asap after the launch of the open beta.
Attention: For some reason the game seems to default on 50% render resolution on even high-end PCs in some cases. If you have the performance, make sure to set it to 100%!
The render resolution is a percentage value and defines the resolution the game will be rendered in. This way you can lower the resolution of the game without affecting and lowering the readability of HUD and menu elements.
The Display Resolution defaults to your native resolution. If you can’t or don’t want to play on your native resolution for performance reasons, you should still leave it at your native resolution and decrease the resolution with the Render Resolution
Sync Every Frame (V-Sync)
As always: V-Sync by default introduces crazy input lag. Disable it!
If your system supports G-Sync / FreeSync use those as alternatives to sync frames with your monitor refresh rate.
Custom Framerate Limit
In-game option to limit FPS for gameplay and menu. During our first tests this feature seemed bugged for us.
As always, a great alternative to limit FPS is the tool Rivatuner Statistics Server.
The texture resolution mainly impacts the amount of VRAM used. A medium setting is always a great balance and it might still have some performance impact, but this needs further testing.
If you have a low-end system, you should go with at least Low but probably even Very Low.
Texture Filter Anisotropic
Shadow Map Resolution
Cache Spot Shadows
Cache Sun Shadows
World Motion Blur
Weapon Motion Blur
CoD Modern Warfare Launch Options
Unless introduced with the new engine, there likely won’t be any launch options to gain performance or other benefits.
Make sure that you don’t mistakenly use launch options from the original Modern Warfare (2007).

Best NVIDIA Settings for Modern Warfare
You should not expect too much, if any, performance gain from this. It can help in cases of performance drops / freezes.
