Gameplay
- New mechanic- Adrenaline Rush
- After Ymir reaches the final zone, tension rises to the extreme- knocking down or killing enemies will trigger the adrenaline rush effect which makes a player resistant to Ymir damage for a short duration
- Optimized helicopter rescue point spawns, rescue points in dense buildings are moved to open field areas
- Increased the amount of loot in Fort Tyrfing and oil tanks in Andvari Mine
Report system
- Added a new violation type "Wallhack"
- When spectating, you can now report the player who eliminated you or the player you are currently spectating
Anti-Cheat
Updated security measures
UI
Adjusted the color of ban notification in kill feed, making it more vivid and noticeable
Sounds
- Lowered the first-party vehicle engine sound
- Optimized footstep sounds on snow
- Optimized first-party stand and crouch position switching and jumping sounds to differentiate with third-party sounds
Client performance
Adjusted the LOD display distance of tree models, reducing the GPU load time when displaying a large area of trees
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash caused by switching to Fullscreen mode under certain dpi scalings
- Fixed an issue where the lobby UI, loading screen, starting point selection UI, inventory UI and stats UI were not displayed correctly for 21:9 resolutions
- Fixed an issue where players were unable to use consumables on the driver seat of boats
- Fixed an issue where players can use consumables on ziplines, ladders, and rock walls by pressing the "Use" key and the consumable key at the same time
- Fixed an issue where players were able to see a character model glitch for a split second in FPP mode after the starting point selection screen
- Fixed an issue where the the edge of the Ymir zone was jagged
- Fixed an issue where reconnecting after disconnection obstructed character movement when climbing ladders and vaulting rocks
- Fixed an issue where reconnecting after disconnection caused glider visual glitches if other characters (including the spectating target) was getting on and off a glider during the reconnection
- Fixed an issue where selecting "Cancel" after disconnection still reconnects players back to the original game after matchmaking again
- Fixed an issue that obstructed character movement on ziplines
- Fixed several bugs that obstructed character movement when vaulting
- Fixed several bugs that obstructed character movement by objects
- Fixed several airwall bugs

Endgame changes in RoE
Lately, we have received some great suggestions and feedback from the community regarding the endgame meta. We are glad that the Dev team had similar discussions and have implemented the following:
Position revealing has changed from continuous to periodic
As Ymir reaches the final zone, the storm will become increasingly fierce and gradually reduces visibility, reaching the minimum within one minute
After the temperature reaches -30C degrees, it will keep dropping and the damage to players will increase rapidly (The time it takes to reach -30C degrees and the damage dealt during this time remains the same)
Gameplay Changes
Reduced the starting point selection screen's countdown from 60 to 45 seconds
Misc
Changed the following wording in Leaderboards:
Total ELO changed to Overall Rating
Killing ELO to Kill Rating
Surviving ELO changed to Rank Rating
Made the helipad icon to be affected by map zooming
Performance
Slightly optimized UI performance
Improved the stutter issue by decreasing the Texture Pool GC frequency
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where characters can snowboard in prone position
Fixed an issue where the vehicle's horn sounds become non-stop in some cases
Fixed an issue where Fullscreen mode will reset to Windowed mode after the patch
Fixed a crash caused by switching to Fullscreen mode
Fixed a crash in FPP mode
Fixed an issue where the far away fog effects at the edge of the screen was cut off

Tencent shipped another hotfix patch with various bug fixes on October 8th, 2018:
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a game crash when switching to Fullscreen mode in Windows XP
- Fixed the compatibility issues between car sounds and certain RME sound cards, reducing sound glitches
- Fixed the issue of incorrect animation play after reconnecting to a game
- Fixed several bugs that obstructed character movement by objects

In this patch, we are fixing some important issues. Here’s the full details:
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the issue where the game can't be launched when the desktop resolution doesn't match with resolutions supported by the graphics card when changing settings to Fullscreen mode or launching the game as Fullscreen.
- Fixed the issue where the volume mute keybinds was only able to mute but not unmute in some cases.
